Our Story
TopYachtCrew was born in Phuket in 2019, when our founder James Harrington — a Captain with 15 years of experience on superyachts across the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Pacific — grew frustrated with the fragmented, inefficient way the yacht crew industry operated.
Crew were finding jobs through word of mouth, outdated job boards, and expensive recruitment agencies that took weeks to respond. Employers were struggling to find qualified, vetted crew at short notice. The industry was ready for a modern solution.
We assembled a team of industry veterans — former captains, chief stewardesses, engineers, and chefs — and combined their deep industry knowledge with cutting-edge technology. The result is a platform that truly understands the unique needs of the superyacht industry.
